Victor Bennett
Citadel Security

Fashion in New York City and the world centers on NYC Fashion Week. Many contribute to the wonderful success of Fashion Week in New York City. Runway Chic Magazine would like to take the time to recognize some of the people who help make NYC Fashion Week the recognized success that it is.Runway Chic Magazine would like to give Special Recognition to the women and men of Citadel Security Agency. These "invisible" people are hard working, dedicated, and are well organized. The Director of Security Ty Yorio along with his excellent colleagues provide the needed structure to help Fashion Week run smoothly.

Victor Bennett, Citadel Security

After the years we even know some of them by name, Karen, Pietra, Ian, Tom, Mike, Maurice, Claude, Joe, Jim, Carlos, Ansel, Rudy and many others. In the many years that Runway Chic Magazine has been covering 7th on Sixth New York City Fashion Week, we even remember Citadel members that we did not see this year such as Bill, Bernard, Ed, and Gene.
For this Fashion week of September 2003 for Spring of 2004 Fashions, we give Special Recognition to Victor. One of the few security members who introduces himself by his full name, at times Vic, other times Victor, and Victor Bennett, and even his formal title of Mark Victor Bennett.
One of the many outstanding contributions of Victor Bennett to our 7th of Sixth New York City Fashion Week was his work during the challenges of 911. Victor was literally "the front man"; his job was to talk to people at the front entrance of "the Tents" the day after 911. On September 12th, Victor was assigned to be the very first person that people would talk to as they tried to enter "The Tents". Victors ability to calm, console, and communicate is OUTSTANDING every day, but definitely on "the day after". His calm, friendly yet respectful manner helped many on the road to recovery from the pain of 911.

In the photo with this copy, you will see Victor ( Mark Victor Bennett) talking with Ron Michaels and Jodi Jones of RunWay Chic Magazine. His confidence, and powerful presence helped many of us cope on our road to recovery. We understand that Victor is now coping with his own personal "road to recovery", we understand that his health is not the best. Our prayers go out to God for a quick return to health for Victor and for his family as they cope with the challenges of a loved one like him who is suffering.

We must also recognize the strong positive leadership of the Security Director Ty Yorio. Ty really knows how to put the right women or the right men on each job and at each post. Ty brings a calm, and comfortable influence to the people around him. Ty Yorio definitely put "the right man" on "the right job" when he assigned Victor Bennett to the point man position in front of "the Tents" on September 12th, "the day after".

So for this season, the Special Recognition of Runway Chic Magazine goes to the women and men of Citadel Security Agency, and their special man Mark Victor Bennett.
